A: Depending on the amp usage of the tools you are using, we recommend running no more than 3 tools from the power cords + power strip included under normal use conditions.

Q: Is the Mobile Workshop waterproof?
A: NO – the Mobile Workshop is indoor rated only, be sure when transporting your mobile workshop to protect it from rain, snow or moisture.

Q: Does it fold up for transporting?
A: NO – once assembled the Mobile Workshop is designed to be utilized always in its assembled format. The folding cart can be positioned up for easy storage and transporting.

Q: I broke something by being a bit too rough with my Mobile Workshop, can I order spare parts?
A: You can order hardware kids, lights, adjustable knobs and tool tray as well as other parts.

Q: Can I remove the fan or light be used as a standalone item?
A: NO – the Mobile Workshop is intended to be used in the current configuration sold, any attempt to re-configure or use items stand-alone will void all warranties.

Q: Can I use my Garage Fan outside on my patio or pergola? Is it waterproof?
A: The fan is damp rated and can go on a covered patio or porch. It Is not waterproof and cannot go on a pergola or anywhere where the fan will receive direct precipitation.

Q: What is the length of the fan from the top to the bottom?
A: When mounted with the 12 inch downrod, the fan measures 37.5” from the ceiling to the bottom of the fan. When mounted with the 6 inch downrod, the fan measures 31.5 inches from the ceiling to the bottom of the fan.

Q: Does the garage fan require a junction box?
A: No, the design of the Garage Fan allows you to install anywhere there is a support structure using the included hardware and simply plug in the garage fan into a standard outlet.

Q: How far from the wall do I need to install it?
A:For optimal airflow, it is recommended that the fan is installed at least 18 inches from the wall.

Q: What is the weight of the fan?
A: The fan weights approx. 12 pounds without a downrod.

Q: Can I install the Garage Fan into sheet rock if I don’t have a stud?
A: No — the included mounting bracket requires the end user to securely screw directly into a joist.

Q: The Garage Fan cord is too short to reach my outlet, is it safe to use an extension cord?
A: Yes - it is safe to use an extension cord with your Garage Fan to plug into a standard outlet.

Q: I need a longer downrod for my high garage ceilings, what do I do?
A: The MULE Garage Fan comes with 6-inch and 12-inch downrods which will fit most standard ceilings. However, if you have higher ceilings, you have the flexibility to use a universal downrod of any length (4 inches or longer) as long as it is threaded and has a diameter of either 3/4-inch inside diameter and 1-inch outside diameter. These downrods can be purchased from most major online retailers or your local home improvement stores.

Q: Can I use one remote to control two garage fans?
A:  Yes - Each MULE Garage Fan Remote comes with a receiver and a remote control. Both Garage Fans will need to be plugged into a receiver before syncing the remote.

Remote Control Syncing Instructions:

  1. Turn off the main power to both fans, then turn it back on.
  2. Within 30 seconds, press and hold the High and Low speed buttons on the remote at the same time
